Welcome to the Web Site of the Queensland Agriculture Teachers Association.

Ordinary membership of the Association is open to all teachers of agricultural subjects in secondary schools, as well as any other persons with an interest in agricultural education wishing to assist in fulfilling the objectives of the Association. Other classes of membership include –

• Student membership – students training at a recognised tertiary institution to be a teacher of agriculture
  
  
• Associate membership – any other person, organisation or company who, in the opinion of the Association, will assist in fulfilling any of the objectives of the Association.
  
  
• Honorary Life membership – elected by the members of the Association for rendering outstanding service to the Association and/or Agricultural Education

Our Objectives:

• To provide leadership in the promotion and development of agricultural education
• To facilitate communication between teachers of agricultural subjects
• To provide a forum for the discussion of, and exchange of information relevant to the teaching of agricultural subjects
• To assist in the development of teaching skills relevant to agricultural subjects
• To engage in activities aimed at assisting the development of agricultural education
• To represent generally the views of persons connected with the teaching of agricultural subjects
